Skilled Services

The need for private nursing has never been greater. Hospitals are discharging patients before they’re healed. Nursing homes are understaffed. And the cost of in-patient care has gotten out of hand. Everyone wants to recover in the comfort of their own home, and we can help.

Saving Families nurses provide an added layer of home health care for clients who require more advanced skilled services or monitoring. We will work with your doctor to get the necessary medical orders and to create a care plan just for you.

Short-Term Nursing

If you need short-term medical care after a hospital stay or while healing from an illness or injury, our home healthcare is the right choice for you.

Our short-term nursing care is provided at home with the intent of helping you or your loved one to regain their independence and quality of life. In most cases, individuals receive this care as part of their hospital discharge plan or under orders from a doctor following an acute health episode.

Short-Term Nursing Services Provided:

  • Overall health and Wellness assessment

  • Vital signs and health condition monitoring

  • Medication planning, management, and administration

  • Wound care

  • Administration and monitoring of IVs

  • Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy

  • Patient and family education

Our trained and licensed nurses assist with home health care by working with individualized care plans created by your medical provider and under the close supervision of a Registered Nurse. This high level of oversight ensures your safety and health needs are met in the most effective way to promote recovery and improved outcomes.

Long-Term Nursing

When a person has a chronic disease, it sometimes becomes more difficult to sustain health and prevent the progression of or side effects of the disease. Skilled medical support helps individuals to remain happier, healthier, and more independent at home. This is where long-term home health care comes in. This type of care is arranged for an indefinite amount of time, typically to provide support for more complex health concerns that are difficult to manage independently.

Long-Term Nursing Services Provided:

  • Monitoring vital signs

  • Medication planning, management, and administration

  • Providing assistance after a brain or spinal cord injury

  • Assisting with tracheostomy or ventilator dependency

  • Disease process management

  • Diabetic care and Wound care

  • Advocacy and coordination with your Physician or Hospital

Saving Families health care staff will properly address medical needs for most chronic illnesses, helping individuals remain comfortable at home and reducing the need for placement or repeat hospitalizations.

Should your needs change, short-term home health can easily be transitioned to long-term home health, in-home care, or personal care to ensure continuity of care.
